The Problem: The Pitfalls of Overseas Developers

Winsborough, a team of business psychologists and leadership consultants, decided to take advantage of AI technology for their self-service products. They chose an offshore developer to build the product, but soon faced several challenges, including a lack of clear communication and poor project management.

The output was "esoteric and hard to scale," which meant Winsborough couldn't see their app reaching its full potential. They knew they needed to step back and find an affordable and smart solution that could bridge the gap.

Our Approach: Review, Re-brief, and RFP

Winsborough engaged Target State to guide them through the process. The first step was a thorough review of the project, with a recommendation to pause further investment in the build until it was complete. After evaluating their options, it became clear that the app development should return to New Zealand.

We then project-ran a clear and robust Request for Proposal (RFP) process, working alongside Winsborough's team to create a scope, evaluate participants, and shortlist vendors. As CEO Gus McIntosh put it, "Ant gets his head round your business and [took his time] understanding our context
